we signed the lease to our new house. it's great! a big 4-bedroom house instead of this small 2-bedroom apartment. =] we also met our new neighbors who seemed awesome. i cant wait to get to know them better. we move in july 1st.
cory's now working full-time. the paychecks are great! but the hours are pretty rough. for example, he worked 6pm-midnight yesterday & tonight. tomorrow he's supposed to work 3 pm-3 am, then thursday, friday, saturday, & sunday is all 6pm-6am. starting monday it goes back to 6pm-midnight. ouch, right? luckily tonight he worked it out with his co-workers so that he only has to work 3pm-midnight tomorrow & thursday. that still leaves 3 twelve hour shifts this weekend, but it's better.
steve's doing absolutely great. he's cruising the furniture, standing on his own, and crawling like a bullet. he eats EVERYTHING! it's insane how much this little guy can eat. he's on table food & pretty much eats everything we do except i limit his dairy & for yogurt he gets the special baby yogurt [yo-baby].
i am still losing weight regularly. i am down over 30 lbs since my birthday and it's like melting off me. how am i doing it? counting calories, serious portion control, switching health foods for junk food, and lots of exercise. for a regular daily basis i do a half hour on our manual treadmill or aerobics machine, 100 crunches, leg raises, push-ups, "bicycle crunches", & squats. of course this is flexible. i'll admit i've slacked and only done 10-15 mins of aerobics some days and others i've done much more than a half hour, but this is the usual. i can't wait for our new house, where i get the entire 3rd floor as a home gym/exercise room for me. i'm going to set up all my equipment & mats & hang inspiring pictures and stuff on the walls. i'm uber excited.
we sold the truck & that new stereo we had put in it went into the car. the car's still having transmission problems, though, because even with all the money we made from selling the truck we still dont have enough to pay for work on the car [we had to pay our security deposit & bills instead]. once cory's full-time paychecks start coming in [friday will be the first!!] we'll fix the car. until then, cory's getting a pump to re-inflate the bike tires and using that for work.
so anywho, that's about it. oh, and for anyone looking for new pics of the little guy, here's one rather humorous one. i know i mentioned before how steve hates grass. he cries so hard when we sit him in it or anything. well it's been gorgeous outside lately so yesterday we took him outside to play and tried to get him used to the grass. instead, when we stood him up in the grass, he'd raise his leg so his foot wouldn't touch it, then keep switching feet trying to figure out how to get both feet out of the grass. it was so funny. here's the picture:
